About Chief Operating Operator Portfolio

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) Portfolio is responsible for the University’s budget and financial performance, and the management of its property and capital. It also delivers efficient and effective shared services in support of all aspects of the University’s business.

About the Role

The Student Recruitment and Admissions Officer (MDHS) will make an impact by taking an active role in the successful streamlining of admissions processes and development of new systems and procedures to reduce turnaround times and manage the increasing workload expected as an outcome of growing recruitment targets. The role will also develop and maintain effective working relationships across the Future Students team as well as with academic and professional staff in the broader School, Faculty and University context.

This role supports a network of internal and external relationships and assists with delivering a schedule of recruitment-based profiling activities, events and recruitment campaigns to maximise student enrolment outcomes. An innovative approach to student recruitment, utilising multiple communication strategies, alignment to the future student journey stages and understanding of student experience is essential to success in this role.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:

  • A relevant degree and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (which may include, but is not limited to, providing direction and guidance to a team, training colleagues, leading reviews of processes, etc)
  • Demonstrated high level of administration skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience in and commitment to excellent client service
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, using initiative to anticipate work requirements and to manage and resolve issues, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team to achieve results
