About the School
The School of Education at the University of Wollongong has a strong reputation for delivering highly regarded pre-service teacher education in Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary contexts, as well as continuing professional education through postgraduate coursework. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and impact, the School of Education is dedicated to preparing educators and leaders who shape the future of education in Australia and beyond.
About the Role
As a Senior Lecturer in Autism & Neurodivergent Studies/Special Education, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the School of Education’s postgraduate programs in Autism, Neurodivergent Studies, and Special Education. This position combines teaching, research, and leadership — from designing and coordinating subjects to supervising Higher Degree Research students and driving innovative research, which includes supporting co‑produced research with autistic and neurodivergent individuals. You will contribute to program development and accreditation, strengthen professional experience pathways through partnerships with schools and community organisations, and actively engage in governance, service, and recruitment activities. This is an opportunity to influence the future of inclusive education while contributing to the vibrant academic and professional life of the School.
This is an on-campus role, with the successful candidate expected to be based on campus the majority of the time.
