About the Role
As Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer you will be a subject matter expert who will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design, build, delivery, and maintenance of automations, journeys, and personalised communications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You will contribute towards the triage and analysis of new demand, its inception prior to detailed planning, creation and maintenance or quality documentation.
Your focus will be:
- Leading the University’s current understanding of marketing technology platforms and other channels in the University's digital ecosystem, proposing best practice Marketing Cloud solutions for constituent action and experience
- Working with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and desired constituent experience goals across touchpoints and designing Marketing Cloud solutions
- End-to-end execution of personalised email campaigns, including testing and deployment
- Building marketing automation processes in Automation Studio
- Actively participating in review of demand pipeline to assess the business value, criticality, size, feasibility, and complexity of items to make informed prioritisation and work sequencing decisions
About You
You will bring your software development experience across a variety of CRMs including large scale product implementations and customisations. You will demonstrate high level interpersonal and communication skills and show strong evidence of customer focus and relationship management.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate your prior track record of achievement in relation to:
- Thought leadership and subject matter expertise for Marketing Automation and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) capability across University teams.
- Working with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and desired constituent experience goals across touchpoints and designing Marketing Cloud solutions to deliver for this.
- Leading an evolution of a business’s current understanding of marketing technology platforms and other channels in a digital ecosystem
- Ability to propose; gain engagement then deliver best practice Marketing Cloud solutions for constituent action and experience.
Additionally, you will have all / or some of the following technical certifications/qualification:
- Marketing Cloud Developer certification with an appropriate tertiary qualification and/or equivalent mix of education/training and relevant experience.
- Significant developer experience in Marketing Cloud and be proficient in the following areas: AMPscript and SSJS scripting languages, Guide Template Language (GTL), Marketing Cloud data models, Marketing Cloud SOAP and REST APIs, SQL development and Marketing Cloud Connect.
