The Opportunity
A unique opportunity is available for an experienced project and operations manager to join the Office of Quality and Policy in the position of Manager, Group Policy. Based within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and President, this continuing role will be responsible for the operational management of the Office of Quality and Policy and also the leadership of projects and strategic activities relating to the Monash Policy Framework.
The incumbent will be responsible for developing effective University-wide communication of policy initiatives and policy change. The role will drive consultation and build strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior University leaders such as Deans, Faculty General Managers and Directors to facilitate policy approval pathways. Through leadership of the policy team, this role provides an opportunity to influence policy change and implementation across the University.
This position is suited to a highly-motivated individual who holds a relevant postgraduate qualification and has extensive, relevant experience; or an individual with extensive management experience and proven management expertise; and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. Furthermore, the successful candidate will ideally have extensive experience in leading and motivating a team of professionals and an exceptional understanding of the University environment or large and complex organisations.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements (such as part-time working hours) may be negotiated. Monash also supports staff to work at home as per our Working From Home policy and guidelines.
