SENIOR RESEARCH SUPPORT OFFICER

The role is an essential member of the ALIVE National Centre for Mental Health Research Translation team at the University of Melbourne.

About the role:

The Senior Research Support Officer is an essential member of the ALIVE National Centre for Mental Health Research Translation administrative hub team based at the University of Melbourne. The individual will oversee the communications across Centre members, governance committees and the governing board, and will lead outward facing communication material (news updates, digital platform content development, engagement activities and prepare for events of the Centre) being the point of contact for research program coordinators and program leads. They will support the development of engagement presentations, conferences and business plan development and provide general administrative and project-based support to the activities of the Centre Director, Executive Research Leadership Committee and Centre Manager.

About you:

The candidate will have completed a relevant degree (e.g. public health, biomedical science, psychology, research communications and translation) or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

The candidate will be highly experienced in providing high-level research translation management and research administration support to academic and professional staff working with a range of stakeholders including government, policy makers and the public. The candidate will work within a dynamic, exciting and expanding national centre environment, and they will value diverse perspectives and have a passion for mental health care system transformation.
