RESEARCH FELLOW, CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTION TO ABORTION
About the role:
Work with a dynamic team of researchers from the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health at the University of Melbourne, Oxford University and Queensland University of Technology to explore alternate approaches to regulating health professionals’ conscientious objection to abortion in Australia. The successful applicant will have strong qualitative research skills, a good understanding of ethical arguments that underpin the regulation of conscientious objection and of the impact of conscientious objection on the delivery of abortion services. The role will involve supporting research activities including: reviewing existing ethical and legal literature to determine global trends; conducting qualitative interviews with health professionals, and; convening a consensus conference with experts in abortion provision.
About you:
Minimum Qualifications Required:PHD (or PHD underway)
Skills and Experience required to fulfil the position: qualitative research skills, ethical and/or legal expertise, experience conducting research in an area of health.
