Level A - $72,083 - $97,812 p.a. (pro rata for part-time)
Level B - $102,967 - $122,268 p.a. (pro rata for part-time)
Level of appointment is subject to qualifications, experience and academic achievement.
We are seeking an enthusiastic clinical research fellow to join our dynamic acute cardiorespiratory rehabilitation research team to investigate ways in which we can optimise physical activity and recovery outcomes for patients following cancer, surgery and/or acute illnesses requiring an intensive care stay.
The acute cardiorespiratory rehabilitation research team at The University of Melbourne is world renowned for its contribution to cardiorespiratory physiotherapy research and has strong collaborations nationally and internationally making it an ideal choice for a research appointment.
This position is well suited to an experienced clinician (allied health or exercise clinical background) with an interest in clinical research and / or someone who has recently completed their PhD who is interested in developing skills as an independent researcher within an established research team.
The appointee will work collaboratively within the acute cardiorespiratory research team in particular with Dr Selina Parry & Associate Professor Catherine Granger. The position is located in the Department of Physiotherapy on the Parkville University Campus. The appointee will work closely in an Honorary Research capacity with affiliated clinical partner hospitals where the research is being conducted, including being on site in the hospital setting. The successful applicant is expected to be responsible for coordinating a number of research projects with minimal supervision requiring a high degree of responsibility, self-motivation and organisation. The appointee will be expected to function as an effective and central team member of a larger highly cohesive research team.
