The Academy of Sport, Health and Education (ASHE) is a program of The Rumbalara Football Netball Club whom in partnership with The University of Melbourne provide an educational facility to improve education, health and employment outcomes for Indigenous people.

About the role

The ASHE Student Services Officer, based in Shepperton, will assist in recruiting and actively supporting the day-to-day participation of students enrolled at the Academy.

This will include provision of whole-group and individualised support to students as they go about meeting the daily requirements of their ASHE programs including but not limited to participation in variety of learning, sport and recreation and community activities, completion of course requirements, participation in work placement or other employment development programs and transport requirements.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Completed a Certificate IV or Diploma qualification with relevant work-related experience

  • A current driver's license

  • Demonstrated expertise in working with Indigenous youth and a strong position of understanding the various issues that may be impacting their lives

  • A passion and motivation to be a role model for our students whilst being an outstanding facilitator

  • Capacity to work flexible hours, including overnight trips and limited weekend activities.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a changing and fast paced environment
