About The Role
You will be required to teach and conduct classes in Construction Project Planning and Scheduling, Construction Technologies (low and high rise) and other discipline courses as required. Previous experience with using Aconex would also be beneficial. You will also assist in the academic and administrative, consultative and coordination tasks involved with these courses. Functions associated with the position include presentation of lectures and tutorials, assessment of students and course administration in line with the Universitys quality assurance requirements. In addition, you will also be required to undertake research activities in line with the Universitys research strategy. It is expected that the Associate Lecturer will work under support and guidance to develop expertise in teaching and research with an increasing degree of autonomy.
You will demonstrate the ability to prepare and teach programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials. Evidence of research output including publications, conference contributions and/or technical reports in the field will be imperative to your success in this role. In addition, you will work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues, project team leaders, and industry partners.
Mandatory: Qualification in the relevant discipline area and have commenced or enrolled to commence their PhD. To be eligible for this role, it is essential that candidates have performed casual teaching work for an Australian University during the past three years and have not been employed on a continuing basis at an Australian University.
