- Full-time, Fixed-term position until December 2020.
- $67,796 - $ 90,821 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation.
In this role
The opportunity exists for a self-motivated, team-player with an ability to contribute to research outputs within the School of Life Sciences. You will be engaged in a key project focused on understanding bacterial pathogenesis and the biogenesis and functions of bacterial membrane vesicles.
This position will provide you with the opportunity to undertake a key role contributing to innovative research and producing conference and seminar papers and publications resulting from that research.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role you will have completion of a bachelor's degree with honours or a PhD in the discipline of Microbiology and evidence of participation in higher level study relevant to discipline or professional area. You will have experience in research and evaluation in Microbiology including molecular microbiology, tissue culture and basic immunological techniques.
Experience in the analysis and modelling of data, including the capacity to integrate data from a range of sources will aid your success in this role.
Expertise in bioinformatics, next generation DNA sequencing, CRISPR and basic immunology is considered highly advantageous.
