Research Assistant/Fellow Liver Metabolism

The Research Assistant/Research Fellow will work within the Metabolism & Diabetes Laboratory and perform supervised research on an industry-funded collaborative project related to understanding mediators of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and liver fibrosis. This work will have a strong focus on assessing the effects of liver-secreted proteins on lipid metabolism, inflammation and fibrosis in various cell types. The position requires excellence in cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques, a high degree of technical competence and excellent data management and data reporting. The outcomes of this work will lead to development of novel investigative compounds for the treatment of NAFLD.
