The Executive Assistant will provide high-level support to the Dean of the Faculty of Science including a range of executive support services to ensure the smooth running of the Office, from diary management, correspondence, to travel arrangements and acting as the first point of contact for stakeholders contacting the Dean or the Faculty.
The position liaises extensively with external bodies affiliated with the Faculty of Science and works as part of the professional services team that provides high quality administrative services. The ability to flexibly contribute to team-based tasks as well as performing tasks on an independent basis is paramount to the role.
The Executive Assistant will provide outstanding, intuitive and efficient administrative, secretarial support services to the Office of the Dean. Additionally, the Executive Assistant is required to display a level of discretion, independent judgment and professionalism, regularly interacting with internal and external stakeholders as well as dealing with confidential and sensitive issues and documentation.
The Executive Assistant is expected to undertake several concurrent tasks demonstrating excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, which are critical to this position. They will be required to respond constructively to changing business needs and circumstances.
This position reports to the Faculty Executive Director.
