The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology undertakes a wide range of teaching and research programs in the area of databases, computational intelligence, software engineering, cybersecurity, and mobile and wireless computing. About the role
The department at Bendigo is pursuing active world class research within the area of Internet of Things, research experience and a current track record in one or more of the following areas would be desirable: data science for IoT, machine learning for IoT, data visualisation for IoT, decision support systems, edge processing. The successful candidate will be expected to develop high quality innovative curriculum, deliver engaging teaching to a high standard and obtain research funding through various methods. You will supervise Higher Degree by Research, honours and postgraduate students, participate in innovative course level curriculum design, development and review and coordinate subjects in this newly created position.
Skills & Experience
You will have completed a PhD in a relevant area or the equivalent experience, a strong research record coupled with experience in the preparation of research proposals. You will have a strong track record for developing curriculum and teaching excellence, competence in computer coding and the ability to teach computer science subjects. The Department is looking for a strong candidate in the broad area of information technology to support the wide range of programs in the Department with good knowledge of industry 4.0, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, smart cities, mining and agriculture.
A graduate Certificate in Higher Education or evidence of equivalent professional preparation for H.E teaching is advantageous.
