The Office of the Pro Vice Chancellor (Industry Engagement) works collaboratively with researchers to help deliver research and innovation to solve industry and society challenges. About the position
The Manager, Business Development & Commercialisation will work within a small team who contributes to the Office of the PVC (Industry Engagement), to manage and deliver on the business development and commercialisation pipeline from industry research engagement. You will work closely and collaboratively with academics in the Schools and Colleges to identify and build industry relationships to increase industry research income and improve research impact. You will manage and advance opportunities to collaborate with and attract new and existing partners with industry, not for profit organisations and government bodies that align with La Trobe's research capabilities and strengths.
About the candidate
To be successful in this position, you will have demonstrated experience in facilitating research collaborations, as well as linking technical and sector knowledge, market insights and research. Your ability to build and develop key strategic relationships and deliver end-to-end conversion of strategic business development and commercialisation opportunities is paramount. Access to relevant industry networks and demonstrated experience in seeking and securing industry and government support is vital for this position.
