WSU is seeking outstanding candidates for the role Deputy Dean, School of Nursing and Midwifery. The School is seeking a proven academic leader to assist the Dean in the provision of leadership within the School and oversight of School planning, performance, and quality management.
As a member of the School Executive, the appointee will work closely with the Dean on School leadership and management matters and will deputise for the Dean as required.
The appointee will have evidence of outstanding leadership and supervision of teams of academics in a large and demanding tertiary setting and experience in governance roles relevant to this position.
The Deputy Dean position is offered on a full-time, fixed-term position for 5 years with an underlying, ongoing appointment at Academic Level D/E (Associate Professor/Professor).
This significant leadership role provides an outstanding career opportunity to be a part of the exciting future of the WSU School of Nursing and Midwifery. The position requires a collaborative leader, with highly developed strategic and organisational capabilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to engage effectively and think creatively to solve problems.
