Administrative Officer / Executive Assistant

This is a position for an experienced Administrative Officer/ Executive Assistant position within the Indigenous Health and Epidemiology Unit. The Unit is located within the Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health. The Administrative Officer provides outstanding administrative and executive support services to the Associate Dean (Indigenous Development) and the research team. The administrative officer will be responsible for performing a broad range of activities while building and maintaining effective and strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

You will be an integral team member supporting Professor Sandra Eades and her team. You will have:

  • Sound administrative skills with exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Previous experience in diary management, co-ordination of meetings, travel booking, processing financial transactions and administering research and educational programs
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure to meet important deadlines
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to build effective relationships and have a calm approach when dealing with challenging situations
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a range of computer programs including Microsoft Office suite
  • Flexibility to learn and take on new challenges
