Appointment of Professor/Associate Professor of Allied Health, Western Sydney University and South Western Sydney Local Health District

One of our strong partners is the South Western Sydney Local Health District, with which we collaborate in clinical training and research and who have a renowned reputation for excellence in the provision of healthcare services. The District has strong leadership roles in clinical practice, research, education and in the provision of high quality tertiary and quaternary clinical services, health promotion and high quality provision of healthcare to its local community. SWSLHD also hosts world-leading biomedical, clinical, health services and public health research.
Western Sydney University and South Western Sydney Local Health District are seeking to appoint a Professor/Associate Professor of Allied Health. The position is a senior academic leadership role in allied health, and will work collaboratively across WSU and SWSLHD. The appointee will be responsible for the development and implementation of a strategy for research which aims to enhance the health of people in South Western Sydney and with a focus on applied health activities that cross discipline boundaries and foster the university-clinical nexus. The appointee will hold a PhD or equivalent in an area relevant to allied health and demonstrate experience of progressing strategic research initiatives and engaging across the academic and clinical environment, along with a commitment to learning and teaching, and a deep appreciation of the breadth of the allied health disciplines.
