The position of Media and Communications Officer is situated with the ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science. The Centre is a significant international, multidisciplinary and multi-institutional project that has an annual discretionary budget of approximately $7 million a year. It consists of five University nodes, The University of Melbourne, Monash University, RMIT University, University of Sydney and UNSW Sydney.
The incumbent will be based in the School of Chemistry at The University of Melbourne. The Media and Communications Officer will work across the entire Centre at each of its nodes to highlight and communicate the research of the Centre to the public, the research and science communities, both nationally and internationally, and to the Australian Government.
The Media and Communications Officer will be responsible for creating, coordinating and producing all of the Centre's internal and external communications.
