The College of Science, Health and Engineering contains nine Schools and sixteen Departments and offers general and specialist undergraduate, postgraduate and research higher degree courses.
The College General Manager in the College of Science, Health and Engineering is the College's most senior professional staff manager and is responsible for delivering an integrated and seamless network of operational, business and support services. Reporting to the university's Chief Financial and Operations Officer, the College General Manager advises the College Pro Vice Chancellor and other senior university staff and plays a key role in shaping the College's strategic direction and its alignment to the University's Strategic Plan and identifies new initiatives and opportunities in learning, teaching and research. The General Manager will drive a high-performance culture through the College's professional, administrative and technical services, partnering where appropriate with central service divisions. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen the College's commercial focus, increase speed to market and embed sustainability, safety and quality.
You have a proven record of high achievement leading teams to deliver strategic innovation, transformational change and operational improvement. With an insightful working knowledge of higher education or strategic and operational leadership experience in a services environment with a matrix structure, you possess high-level business acumen, exceptional people and culture development skills, conceptual and analytical proficiency and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. You hold a graduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline and understand the demands of a rapidly changing and highly competitive, service-oriented environment.
