About the business

Phoenix Australia - Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health is an affiliate of University of Melbourne, aiming to build the capability of individuals, communities and organisations to understand, prevent, reduce and recover from the adverse mental health effects of trauma. The Centenary of Anzac Centre is an initiative of Phoenix Australia, which conducts research and provides support for health practitioners to ensure better treatments and improved lives for Australia's veterans and military personnel and their families.

About the role

We're looking for a digital marketer to help develop and deliver integrated marketing activities:

  • Part-time 12-month contract (0.6 FTE)
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives to promote mental health research and support services
  • Friendly small team environment

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and implement marketing initiatives (mainly across the Centenary of Anzac Centre but also assisting with Phoenix Australia initiatives)
  • Develop marketing materials, communications and content
  • Produce the monthly e-newsletter
  • Develop social media content and monitor channels
  • Maintain website and assist with events, videos and other initiatives

Skills and experience

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or digital marketing work experience
  • Skills in managing social media channels, e-newsletter production and website updates
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to proactively seek out information
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A good understanding of the health care system or military/veteran community desirable
