The Indigenous Career Development Partner is a member of the Human Resources Team which provides services to the Faculty of Science (FoS) and Melbourne School of Engineering (MSE) portfolios. You will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Indigenous Employment Plan, and to assist with other objectives within the Indigenous Strategy. The position will work in collaboration with the Murrup Barak Institute for Indigenous Development and will contribute to and work within the broader Indigenous strategy of the University.
You will take a leadership role working closely with the Assistant Dean, Indigenous, to achieve the strategic and operational objectives of the Faculty of Science and the Associate Dean, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) in MSE. The incumbent will provide a high level of strategic advice pertaining to policy and project development which align to the Faculty's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), whilst contributing to, and overseeing Indigenous development projects that will underpin the specific strategic responses to the RAP.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and recruiting Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander talent and providing career support and development to employees across Science and Engineering. The position will entail liaison directly with Senior Managers to provide specialist advice.
