The Opportunity

You will be joining our close-knit, high-performing People team and play an integral role in driving the development and implementation of our strategic and operational people initiatives.

You will own and lead the delivery of the day-to-day management of our People practices and procedures for you client group, and work alongside leadership teams to innovate coach and develop their plans and actions to incorporate best practise people solutions.

With a solid grounding in HR policy and employee relations you will work across a range of outcomes including facilitating workforce planning, talent and succession discussions, attraction and resourcing support, developing and leading organisational change plans, facilitating case management and leading other HR projects.

You will know how to navigate the HR matrix to facilitate successful outcomes across the your client group; the Engineering faculty and the broader university.

Your profile

You will have an acute stakeholder mindset and thrive on building and maintaining relationships. You will also be able to demonstrate your passion for continuous improvement and process improvement.

Our ideal candidate will be able to bring:

  • prior experience delivering measurable outcomes within complex, evolving environments with competing interests
  • excellent analytical, numeric, problem-solving and conceptual skills
  • thorough understanding and knowledge base of people policy and employee relations frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated systematic and pragmatic approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Service orientation that effectively balances the needs of clients, the team and the individual.

You will ideally possess qualification in HR together with significant relevant experience. Exposure to project or change delivery within the people space will also be well regard.

You may have worked within the education and or training space; government; or large corporate. Nevertheless, if you meet the above criteria and are excited by the opportunity to further develop your skills and experience we would welcome your application!
