Senior Research Fellow

at University of Melbourne

Salary: This position will be offered at either Level C or Level D, commensurate with experience and qualifications relevant to the role

The Melbourne Brain Centre at Royal Melbourne Hospital (MBC-RMH) is a joint Centre for Research Excellence within the RMH and University. As part of the Australian Stroke Alliance, Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) support has been provided to conduct a large-scale national research program focussed on innovative new technologies to enable early intervention in stroke. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior researcher to make a major contribution to this innovative and highly significant research program as Senior Research Fellow.

The Senior Research Fellow will provide clinical input across 3 major foci including: development of new brain imaging technologies for stroke, new telehealth and aeromedical capabilities, and development of a national network of specialised 'mobile stroke units.' The position involves working closely with MBC-RMH and affiliated multidisciplinary research teams to deliver pilot data for Stage 1 of the Research Program and will involve coordination of regional site visits within Australia, liaising with stakeholders in partner organisations such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service and RMIT University.
