The School of Agriculture and Food within the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences seek to appoint a motivated Laboratory Technician to join a team in a fast growing analytical facility at the University of Melbourne Parkville campus. The person in this role will have the opportunity to influence and share in the future growth of the facility.

The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for general laboratory tasks including, but not limited to, preparation of soil/plant material, extraction of nutrients, preparation of laboratory solutions, working standards, and quality controls, operation and general maintenance of analytical instrumentation, as well as participation in method development.

As the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences is located over several metropolitan and regional campuses, staff may be required to travel to, or work from, other sites and campuses as required.
