The School of Government and International Relations is one of the key departments of the Griffith Business School. We are seeking an outstanding Head of School to continue to drive high quality standards across research and teaching, and strategic engagement with Government, Industry and relevant communities. T he Head of School, working closely with the School's leadership team, will champion a culture of collaboration and innovation in Government and International Relations research and teaching. The Head of School will also take advantage of the opportunities that exist for outstanding interdisciplinary research and teaching afforded by the School's location in a Business School and across Griffith more broadly. Supporting and developing staff and leveraging opportunities for growth through excellent relationships with stakeholders will also be important.
This is a significant role requiring contemporary leadership skills, a passion for emerging areas of interest to Government and students, and a strong focus on scholarly excellence. Highly developed communication, resource management and organisational skills should be complemented by a demonstrated ability to engage effectively across the University and externally. A doctoral qualification in a relevant field, excellent research expertise and proven leadership experience are essential.
The position is based at the Nathan Campus and an attractive salary package is negotiable.
