Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian
An exciting opportunity to join our energetic, progressive ECC team with an excellent salary and job security.
We are looking for a great ECC vet to join our dedicated team, headed by 4 ECC board-certified clinicians, providing veterinary student teaching and 24-hour emergency and intensive care. We have all the equipment you need to perform high-level ECC including 2 brand new critical care ventilators. Importantly, you will be supported by a superb team of ECC trained nurses (including 2 ACVECCTs) who enable us to do true critical care. We have just moved into a brand new ECC unit with a separate, dedicated emergency room, ICU, procedures room (and a sound proofed room for barking dogs!).
To be successful in applying for this role, you will have a veterinary degree which is registrable in the State of Victoria and previous experience in ECC is strongly desirable. We are looking for positive team players with excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative and a willingness to learn new skills.
Salary Range: $72,083 - $97,812 per annum depending upon experience and 9.5% superannuation plus an out of hours loading may apply depending on appointment grade. This is a one year fixed term position and includes use of all University library resources including online access to the literature and text books, VIN membership and 4 weeks of annual leave. The roster includes weekdays and weekends, weeknights, overnights and holidays.
