Your New Role

As the Associate Director Interstate Recruitment, you will lead the University of Tasmania’s commitment to growing the number of students across Australia studying on campus and engaging in digital learning experiences. Leading a diverse team who are based across Australia, you will foster a collaborative team culture, apply hybrid working models and ensure the attainment of recruitment performance targets. A key opportunity of your new role will be to develop and implement data-driven strategy that optimises available government funding and puts the student at the centre of everything we do. Providing high-level strategic leadership, you will play a key role in progressing future-focused vision for recruitment.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

As an innovative and driven leader, you will demonstrate capability in designing and leading strategy with a student focus. Your experience as a senior manager in higher education will be supported by a track record in effectively managing interstate and domestic recruitment initiatives, networks in higher education and expertise in market management. Demonstrated experience in leading and empowering remote teams and fostering their ability to work independently will be critical. To create partnerships across the University and throughout the wider community, you’ll have the capability to persuasively articulate strategy and bring people together. Your adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment will set you up for success in this career defining role.

On offer is a full-time ongoing senior leadership opportunity with the flexibility to be based remotely anywhere across Australia or on any of our campuses. Appointment to this role will attract a competitive remuneration package, including 17% superannuation and relocation assistance as required.
