About the role
The Melbourne Medical School is seeking an experienced and innovative academic to lead the redevelopment of its selection processes to ensure that they achieve their goals each year. As a medical school within a highly-ranked, research-intensive university, The Melbourne Medical School seeks to produce medical graduates who are not only ready for the healthcare workforce but who are also embarking on a career as a world-class clinician-researcher. Our selection procedures therefore need to identify the qualities and personal attributes that are best aligned with excellence in clinical practice as well as in scholarly achievement. The School also wishes to increase diversity amongst applicants to the Melbourne MD, providing a variety of paths for those from diverse backgrounds and with a breadth of career interests, recognising that healthcare roles are rapidly changing.
You will have a strong background in the design, development and delivery of high-stakes selection procedures, and bring a profound understanding of contemporary and emerging selection principles. You will have demonstrated expertise in psychometrics and selection method design, and will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of selection processes for all Melbourne MD students.
