The Engagement and Communications Project Officer (ECPO) will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the engagement and communications strategy for the Melbourne School of Health Sciences (MSHS). This will include the development and delivery of internal and external communications, marketing and promotional material, planning and running events and ongoing website management to ensure that the School receives exposure and recognition for its research and teaching and training endeavours.
The ECPO will develop and implement a calendar of activities and events for the School. This support includes the promotion of events, internal and external communications (for example, publications, websites and other communication tools) and public relation and community relation activities in support of the School's engagement agenda.
The ECPO is responsible for the development and maintenance of marketing communications materials for the School (print and web-based), updating and maintaining key web pages (including web content editing and writing, where required), implementing social media tactics, and managing all stages of the print publication process, from concept and drafting, copy writing and coordination, editing and desktop publishing, through to pre-production and publication. You will also create and manage vibrant and engaging communication content across print, digital and multimedia platforms, including web, social media, online newsletters, short films, pod casts and written articles. The position also works with the central University Media Unit and Melbourne Health Media Unit to secure positive media coverage, and maintain online social networking sites (Facebook/Twitter).

The role requires an ability to work with and develop strong and cooperative relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders both within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and the Faculty's extensive partner network of hospital and research organisations.
