Head of Education Services

A critical role with responsibility for promoting a culture of education excellence that reflect surgeons’ need for leading edge medical education to deliver great patient care. With a focus on ensuring best practice standards of education through leadership in curriculum development and review, quality assessment and moderation and ensuring the design of business processes and practices support these standards. With line management oversight of professional development, examinations and IMG Assessment, skills training and the Skills and Education Centre, this is a key leadership role in training and sustaining surgeons throughout their professional life cycle. Head of Research & Innovation

This important role focuses on providing expert and strategic advice to ensure that all educational programs and resources are relevant, based on sound educational research and meet international best practice standards. With key responsibility for supporting the maintenance of Australian Medical Council accreditation of RACS, this role will also focus on identifying and recommending best practice models of surgical training and assessment. This crucial role will drive innovative research within surgical education training at RACS. Ref: 13280

Head of Training Services

As an experienced and effective leader, this role has the primary responsibility of ensuring the provision of efficient and effective management of the RACS Surgical Education and Training (SET) program and using their extensive relationship and stakeholder management skills will be responsible for the provision of support to the RACS Surgical Training Boards. With oversight of the Specialist Training Program, this role will also ensure the fulfillment of the contract with the Federal Government. Ref: 13282
