The opportunity

The position will commence with a Teaching and Research profile of which the appointee will be required to undertake teaching and research in the field of Humanities and Social Science education, as well as contribute to the School's teaching and research outcomes including publications and research success, teaching excellence and higher degree research supervision and completions, and engagement activities. Future work allocations will be reviewed and in alignment with the operational and student-centred requirements of the School. This is a continuing, full time position based at the Gold Coast or Mount Gravatt campus.

About you

To be successful in this application you require a relevant and completed doctoral qualification in the field of Humanities and Social Science education within schooling contexts. In addition, you will have demonstrated the following: knowledge of and experience in working with state and national social science curricula, particularly the Australian Curriculum (K-Year 10); knowledge, skills and leadership in teaching and curriculum development at the tertiary education level; a proven ability in the administration of University courses and programs; and evidence of teaching excellence and higher degree research supervision.

Salary range

Senior Lecturer, Level C: $115,593 - $133,289 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $135,244 - 155,949 per annum.
