The opportunity

These positions offer an exciting opportunity to be part of the School's new Bachelor of Communication and Journalism and to contribute to its design and implementation. Importantly, the focus of both the Communication and Journalism staff and the new degree program is a commitment to the potential of communication and journalism to impact and deliver positive social and environmental change.

There are two continuing, full time positions for suitably qualified candidates at Lecturer / Senior Lecturer level, based at either the Nathan or Gold Coast campus.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will be required to have a PhD in either Communication or Journalism at the commencement of the position. Your previous experience in teaching at a tertiary level will enable you to hit the ground running in this fulfilling role. Along with an ability to publish quality research, you will also have proven success in attracting grant funding which is in line with the strengths of the School.

Salary range

Senior Lecturer (Level C): $115,593 - $133,289 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $135,244 - $155,949 per annum. Lecturer (Level B): $94,361 - $112,057 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $110,403 - $131,108 per annum.
