The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music at the University of Melbourne is home to the Victorian College of the Arts and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Long recognised as one of the leading providers of fine arts and music education in Australia, the Faculty has an ambitious plan to grow its global profile. 2019 marks an exciting and significant moment for the Faculty, with the opening of its new and refreshed Southbank Campus.

The Role: The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music Research Team is looking to appoint an experienced Publications Officer in a part-time fixed term role. The Publications Officer will play a critical role in the Faculty's Research Team. The Publications Officer will be responsible for administration and support functions across the full range of publications collections with a particular emphasis on Non-Traditional Research Outputs (NTROs). The role will also contribute to the development of research publications by the Faculty's Academic and Honorary staff, ensure HERDC and ERA Publication submission is compliant by providing accurate advice and administrative support to academics and implement University research publication policy and procedures.

The Team: The Research team is responsible for the provision of expert professional services that enable outstanding research outcomes for the Faculty.  You will report directly to the Manager, Research and Industry and will work closely with other academic and professional staff.

You: You will have a strong administrative background, highly developed organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. Providing high level advice to colleagues at all levels is integral to the role. You will also have exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide excellent client services and experience dealing with a diverse range of client services and stakeholders in professional services.

Location: Based in the beautiful Southbank Campus of The University of Melbourne, you will work nestled amongst Melbourne's major arts and cultural organisations and venues. You will have the convenience of great transport links to the rest of the city with the serenity of the Botanical Gardens close by.
