With a primary focus on developing and implementing a policy and research program to support the contemporary relevance of the Whitlam policy agenda, the position works closely with the Director to drive the evidence base and advocacy program for the Whitlam Institute, including government relations. The position plays a key role in developing the Institute’s policy engagement in the broader national debate. It ensures the Institute’s policy positions are based on combined experience and the best evidence available while producing high quality research, reports and publications to influence policy and identify opportunities for broader engagement.
The Policy and Research Manager role is a senior position within the Whitlam Institute working closely with the Director and other members of the management team in the strategic development and management of the Whitlam Institute. deputising for the Director as required.
