Project Coordinator, Vidrl Epidemiology Unit

The Victorian Infectious Disease Reference Laboratory (VIDRL) Epidemiology Unit at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity (the Doherty Institute) is engaged in a diverse suite of projects focused on the prevention and control of infectious diseases. These projects are in partnership with other Doherty units, external academic collaborators, and State and Commonwealth departments of health. We are searching for someone to assist with project coordination and administrative support for the collaborative and training activities of 2 projects: an NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence for Policy Relevant Infectious Disease Simulation and Mathematical Modelling (PRISM2), and the Victorian Sentinel Practice Influenza Network (VICSPIN). This role will involve reporting, management of meetings, maintenance of websites and overall support of the operational day-to-day activities of the projects. The incumbent will work collaboratively with staff across the Doherty Institute and its partners to deliver an excellent level of service to support the effective operation of the VIDRL Epidemiology Unit. To be successful in this position, you will be an experienced project coordinator (ideally in higher education and research) with excellent organisation and administrative skills. You will also have experience in the developing project plans and monitoring of project progress.
