This senior position in Audiology within the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology will contribute to and enhance the academic teaching and research in the discipline of Audiology at The University of Melbourne.
You will actively contribute to the postgraduate coursework in audiology within the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in conjunction with other senior academic staff. You will be involved in the ongoing development, delivery and evaluation of the Master of Clinical Audiology course. You will be responsible for the running of the University of Melbourne Audiology Clinic and the training of audiology students therein. You will also have responsibility for the development and implementation of a suite of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
You will enhance the research profile of the discipline attracting research higher degree students, conducting research and applying for external research funding.
You must be PhD qualified with eligibility for membership with Audiology Australia. You will have demonstrated ability to undertake course co-ordination with the ability to lead and collaborate in a range of practice areas in the field of diagnostic audiology and to have an understanding of current trends and issues in the field. You will contribute to teaching and research excellence and the ongoing development of an innovative education program in the field of Audiology. For success in this appointment you must be able to demonstrate leadership in the profession at a national and international level.
The position will be based in our modern facilities based on Swanston Street, Carlton and will be supervised by the Head of Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology.
