The opportunity

The position will provide teaching, scholarship and service to the Institute as required. In particular, the appointee will support work integrated learning offerings in the Asia Pacific. The Lecturer will play an active role in coordinating and expanding Asia-Pacific placements including student and host liaison prior, during and after placements and working with industry partners to develop curriculum as well as opportunities for Asia-Pacific education. This is a continuing, full time position based at the Gold Coast campus but travel will be required across Brisbane and Gold Coast campuses.

About you

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline with demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in teaching at the tertiary education level in the area of work integrated learning and ability to conduct and publish quality research. You will be able to initiate and develop course material where appropriate and coordinate courses as required. You will have effective communication and interpersonal skills with experience in collaborating with industry to develop networks at all levels. In addition, you will be able to work effectively in a team to actively contribute to the positive culture and aspirations of the Institute.

Salary range

Lecturer, Level B: $92,511 - $109,860 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation $108,239 - $128,537 per annum.
