The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music at the University of Melbourne is home to the Victorian College of the Arts and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Long recognised as one of the leading providers of fine arts and music education in Australia, the Faculty has an ambitious plan to grow its global profile. 2019 marks an exciting and significant moment for the Faculty, with the opening of its new and refreshed Southbank Campus.
The Role: The External Relations team is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Marketing Coordinator - Recruitment for a full time continuing role. This role is the voice of the prospective student experience within the Faculty and delivers a program of events, experiences and communications that attract, engage and inform prospective domestic and international students throughout their consideration journey. It is directly responsible for the Faculty's graduate program and will work closely with the central University team on the Faculty's undergraduate program. Working within a deadline driven environment, the role requires excellent project and stakeholder management skills and will require regular travel and out of hours work.
The Team: The External Relations team is a dynamic and experienced team responsible for growing the reputation of Faculty and building a program of activities that establish it as a world leading fine arts and music teaching institution, in a tier one research University, in one of the world's best arts precincts - Melbourne. The marketing part of the team consists of content, digital and recruitment streams. You will report directly to the Marketing Specialist and provide support and guidance to the Marketing Officer - Recruitment.
You: You are a creative, experienced, service-oriented recruitment marketing specialist who can work with academic colleagues and internal teams to meet annual recruitment targets. You will bring a depth of experience in the development and delivery of best practice recruitment activity in the University sector and you will be a compelling storyteller, adept at building rapport with prospective students, parents and the general public. Over time you will become the champion for the Faculty's extensive program offering and the prospective student voice in the Faculty.
Location: Based in the beautiful Southbank Campus of The University of Melbourne, you will work nestled amongst Melbourne's major arts and cultural organisations and venues. You will have the convenience of great transport links to the rest of the city with the serenity of the Botanical Gardens close by.
