Lecturer In Creative Industries

The School of Culture and Communication's Arts and Cultural Management Program is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Creative Industries. We are seeking an energetic and committed individual who is able to contribute to the Program's teaching and research with particular emphasis on the Program's research interests in creative labour practices, teaching in the area of work integrated learning, and cultural sector relationships. Applicants will be expected to have a PhD and research and publication profile in arts and cultural management, with a particular specialisation in creative industries. You will also have either an established record of research or show clear potential for future research accomplishment in the area of arts and cultural management.

You will be expected to have teaching expertise and be able to contribute to graduate teaching (Masters level), with the potential to also contribute to undergraduate and PhD coursework work integrated learning initiatives. There are also opportunities for postgraduate student supervision, and you will need to contribute to administration and subject coordination of the existing curricula in the Master of Arts and Cultural Management. The University of Melbourne sees itself as a global institution and in this context, the Arts and Cultural Management program is also progressing strong alliances with international art developments and partnerships.
