The Professor of Maternal and Child Health is a joint initiative between Griffith University and the Gold Coast Hospital & Health Service. The Professor of Maternal and Child Health will provide leadership in the critical examination of current trends and evidence-based practice in maternal, newborn and children's care, and related implications for research, education and practice. A key focus for this role will translating research into practice and practice development. This is a fixed term (5 years), full time position based on the Gold Coast.
The successful applicant will hold unrestricted registration and license to practise as a registered midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency. You will also possess a PhD in maternal, newborn or children's health related discipline and have expertise in a contemporary midwifery practice. You will also have a significant academic profile in higher education, including teaching and learning, research and community engagement.
Professor (Level E): $175,772 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $205,654 per annum.
