MGSE is home to 300 staff, 2800 students and seven research centres as well as a number of internationally recognised experts.
Reporting to and working collaboratively with the Dean, in this co-leadership role the School Executive Director (SED) will provide high-level leadership and direction in the management of service provision. With a focus on effectiveness, sustainability and efficiency, the SED will contribute to shaping the future direction, and seek new opportunities to enhance the Graduate School's reputation and performance. This includes guiding the development and implementation of strategic and business planning, strategically deploying resources to ensure the delivery of strong academic and sustainable outcomes, and managing key strategic projects. Critical to success in this role will be fostering strong working relationships with academic and professional staff, crafting and communicating a compelling narrative about the strategy and vision, and proactively engaging across the University to ensure MGSE has a significant voice.
You are a highly regarded and well-rounded executive with a track record of achievement gained in tertiary education institutions, government or private sector organisations. A proven and visionary leader with strong financial and commercial acumen, you are a change agent who empowers, and achieves through, others. Collaborative, agile and strategic, you lead by example and possess exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. While inclusive in planning and decision making, you can 'make the call' and have challenging conversations when necessary.
