The successful applicant will participate in the collaborative research program of Dr Hayley Newton and Dr Diana Stojanovski. They will be based within the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Doherty Institute. The research program is focussed on investigating the interaction between mitochondria and intracellular bacterial pathogens. This project involves using a range of molecular, cellular and biochemical approaches to investigate biological questions. The successful candidate will be expected to design, undertake and analyse experiments of independent and original research.
