About the role
This is a dual focused role combining responsibilities as Deputy Dean and Academic Lead for the Management discipline.
The Deputy Dean is responsible to the Dean of Business for the effective management of strategic and operational alignment of the School’s academic portfolio.
The Academic Lead manages the teaching and research activities of academics within the discipline group. The Academic Lead will work closely with the Dean and the School Directors of Teaching and Learning and Research to oversee staff resources and performance; and to engage in coaching, mentoring and the performance review of academic staff. In addition, the Academic Lead will work with Unit Assessors, Course Coordinators, the School Director of Teaching and Learning and the Executive Officer to ensure the high quality delivery of courses.
To be successful in this role you will hold a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline and have a proven record of academic teaching excellence and leadership. You will be an inspiring leader, passionate about contemporary learning environments and opportunities. Your established research reputation will be evidenced, as well as your experience in leading quality course development. You will utilise your strong track record in effective engagement with external stakeholders and industry partners to achieve optimal collaboration outcomes for the School.
