Information Technology Services (ITS) provide information services to the whole of the university to support all IT activities within UNE. It provides knowledge and leadership to support the academic, research and service activities of the University by deploying IT resources, either centrally or dispersed, across the University.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Associate Director (Client Services) is responsible for IT Service Management for all activities related to the provision of client-facing ICT services across the University, including the IT Service Desk (for staff and students), Staff Desktop Support, Audio Visual Support and Computer Lab support. The position is also responsible for controlling the service quality of the ICT environment via change and release management and for providing advice and recommendations to the Chief Information Officer on a range of issues impacting on and arising from their particular service area, to assist in UNE-wide IT decision making.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build solid working relationships at all levels. The incumbent will have expertise in the supervision and management of significant human, financial and material resources and will be able to produce effective outcomes in a high pressure environment. The ability to research, adapt and apply emerging technologies and standards and to understand the broader implications of such technology across the institution, will be essential.
