The University of Melbourne is seeking a Research Fellow in Drug Discovery part of the Molecular Parasitology Research Team led by Professor Robin Gasser (Lab Head). Our research laboratory is located in the Parkville Precinct a Biomedical Research Hub in Victoria, Australia - a vibrant research community consisting of numerous internationally prominent research institutes, hospitals and biomedical companies. With exceptional infrastructure, the University promotes world-class collaborative research in the life sciences and biomedicine.

The Research Fellow involves cross-institutional drug discovery research, funded by Zander Therapeutics Inc. and the Australian Research Council (ARC). Our research program utilises advanced technologies to discover drugs against key parasites of major socio-economic importance. The research will provide a foundation for the development of new interventions against neglected parasitic diseases. The incumbent is required to be a relatively experienced postdoctoral fellow with an excellent track record in parasitology, infectious diseases, drug discovery/repurposing (including assay development) or medical chemistry.
