Lecturer / Senior Lecturer In Music (Performance Viola/Violin)

The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music seeks to appoint an innovative and committed Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Music (Performance - Violin and/or Viola). The incumbent will teach one-to-one lessons with Violin and / or Viola students, attract high quality students into the Bachelor of Music and Graduate programs and develop and further strengthen the chamber music and ensemble performance program at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. The appointee will be recognised as an outstanding practitioner and teacher, have a national and international performance profile and be able to make a significant contribution to the music performance area.

You will have a doctoral qualification in a relevant area, an outstanding profile in the field of music performance, demonstrated experience teaching at a University level and high level expertise in String teaching practices.

This is a full time, continuing position commencing mid 2019 or as negotiated.
