About the role

A brand new and rare opportunity has arisen to join Swinburne University’s Accelerator unit in the position of Academic Director. We are seeking an emerging Associate Professor to lead and provide guidance on academic processes, structures and developments in Swinburne’s Accelerator unit and to drive consultation and stakeholder engagement with Faculties.

In this brand new role you will: • oversee the academic quality of product developed by the Accelerator unit • lead accreditation of award product, quality control of award and non-award product, consulting and coordinating with subject matter experts for content creation, and ensuring quality aligns with Swinburne’s quality regulations, frameworks and processes, including for partnerships • take a consultative approach to collaborate with Accelerator staff, Faculties, and multiple other functions from across the university

You will be working within a highly collaborative unit that promotes innovation and new ways of thinking. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to expedite new higher education product development for Faculty and higher education B2B, off-shore and online delivery channels.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to have knowledge of higher education quality standards and experience in applying those to curriculum development and quality assurance of higher education curriculum. A full list of the selection criteria is available within the position description.
