About the Western Australian Centre for Rural Health (WACRH): WACRH's work covers a large and varied part of the state and the Centre enjoys excellent relationships with health care providers, communities and universities. The collegial, multidisciplinary team of academics and support staff implement a dynamic program addressing key rural, remote and Aboriginal health issues. The appointee will be a valuable member of this team providing leadership in the development of Social Work related placements and the clinical supervision of these students in varied settings along with interprofessional support and education delivery across the wider WACRH program.
About the opportunity: Under the direction of the Assistant Director (Pilbara), you will participate in the development of innovative professional practice programs for students in their own profession, and in interprofessional practice opportunities, in the Pilbara. This will include clinical supervision and evaluation of undergraduate, graduate entry, and postgraduate students as well as support for project based placements. You will also collaborate with the WACRH team in Geraldton through their role with student placement administration and liaise with key stakeholders including local health service providers, community groups and relevant universities. In addition, you will contribute to the evaluation of the student placement program and the impacts on the students' work readiness, rural and remoted practice understanding and attraction to future rural health positions together with other teaching, research and evaluation activities as directed.
