The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) is responsible for a broad range of research support services for staff and postgraduate higher degree research students. The Directorate is committed to continuously expanding the University’s research effort and to enhance its research excellence, with a focus on research that is of particular significance to rural and regional communities.
About the role
Reporting to the DVCR the Director, Research Services is responsible for leading, managing and enhancing the delivery of research and research training support services to achieve the strategic goals of the University, with a focus on addressing regional issues of global significance. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the provision of excellent research support services.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in research development, innovation, management and leadership and an in-depth understanding of the national research framework and funding arrangements/opportunities in Australia will be essential. In addition, the successful candidate will have senior management skills with highly refined planning, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain productive relationships.
