The Arts, Education and Law (AEL) group encompasses creative and performing arts, education, law, criminology, social science and humanities. It represents a comprehensive academic group with a presence across all five Griffith campuses.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the School’s new Bachelor of Communication and Journalism and to contribute to its design and implementation. Importantly, the focus of both the Communication and Journalism staff and the new degree program is a commitment to the potential of communication and journalism to impact and deliver positive social and environmental change.
This is a continuing, full time position based at the Nathan campus.
As Associate Professor you will have a PhD in Communication, Journalism, or a related field. You will have an outstanding research profile and historical success in attracting both internal and external grant funding. You will have shown a significant contribution to the profession/discipline and be highly committed to teaching excellence across a diverse curriculum.
Associate Professor, Level D: $136,454 - $150,331 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $159,652 - $175,888 per annum.
